Emo Night Brooklyn Merch
For Yellow Card’s tour with Emo Night Brooklyn, I designed a standout vest capturing the essence of punk, grunge, and emo aesthetics. This vest features our iconic logo and the tagline “Proud Elder Emo,”.
The design includes a radio-head character aligned with our seasonal branding, ensuring a cohesive look for our CEO and DJs. Worn throughout the tour, the vest not only complemented our team’s attire but also reinforced Emo Night Brooklyn’s unique and edgy identity at each Yellow Card tour.
I designed this t-shirt to embody a street style with a brutalist and metal-core edge, blending contemporary punk culture with classical mythology. The centerpiece of the design features a striking Greek statue, adding a layer of mythological depth to the punk aesthetic. Additionally, it features the Emo Night Brooklyn tagline “Let’s Fucking Go” and the definition of happiness to add an element of irony.
Crafted with bold graphics and raw textures, the t-shirt captures the gritty essence of metal-core while reflecting timeless rebellion. Designed for Emo Night Brooklyn’s DJs, this shirt was worn at various shows and during the Yellow Card tour, and was also made available for purchase at all of our events.
I designed another t-shirt to be sold at the Yellow Card tour that combines simplicity with a light and playful twist. I incorporated a fun, warped typographic design with the brand’s tagline “Proud Elder Emo,” intertwined with smiley faces to add a touch of nostalgia and irony. This design celebrates the spirit of the community with a lighthearted yet bold aesthetic.
For Emo Night Brooklyn’s 9-Year Anniversary, I designed a t-shirt and tote bag featuring ink-illustrated text with varying line weights, creating a dynamic, hand-drawn feel. The number 9 is overlaid on our warped Emo Night Bk text, making it the focal point while still celebrating Emo Night as a brand and community.
Gimme Gimme Disco Gold DJ Jacket
I designed this gold jacket for the Gimme Gimme Disco DJs, to be worn at all events, including our 5-Year Anniversary shows. The jacket features a circular logo inspired by a disco ball, with the “Gimme Gimme Disco” text warped into the shape and accented with subtle sparkle elements. The gold was chosen to stand out on stage, reflect the lights, and enhance our DJs’ style, all while promoting the brand and party.
Broadway Rave Graffiti-Inspired DJ Jacket
For Broadway Rave, I designed a DJ jacket that celebrates the Broadway community with an edgy urban, graffiti-inspired logo, giving it a hand drawn, personal feel. The red bomber jacket, reminiscent of classic Broadway curtains, was chosen to ensure a bold presence on stage. The front features a small “Proud Theater Kid” slogan, acknowledging and supporting the pride of the theater community.
